In Costa Rica there is a long and great variety of birds, like toucans, parakeets, parrots, but the most know species are the macaws, the scarlet macaws that are always overflying tropical zones, like Jaco, Herradura and Tarcoles. A lot of bird watchers come from all around the world just to observe how those birds live, eat and sleep.
The parakeets, almost all the species make their nest in abandoned “atarras” (termite nest). So if you want to see all kinds of beautiful and colorful birds come to Costa Rica and enjoy of the 5% of the world wild life that Costa Rica has to offer. An important item you should bring are binoculars and a telescope to observe the birds in their habitats.
